I. Tourist Visa
Required Documents for 1-month Tourist visa：
1. Passport with valid visa;
Foreigners must get this form within 24hrs after arrival in the place of residence.
Tip: How to get the Registration form of temporary Residence? Here’s 2 options:
A Foreigners go to the local police station personally. (Suggested! Re-register is required for each immigration or relocation.)
B If you are living in a hotel, just go to the receptionist for the form. ( Don't forget to ask them to stamp the form! )
3. TWO 2-inch Photos
If you are holding L (Business) visa, no other document is required.
If you are holding X (Student) visa, a diploma and an application from school are required.
If you are holding Z (Working) visa, a proof of demission and an application from company are required.

II. L visa for visiting relatives / Residence Permit (for foreigner who marries a Chinese citizen)
Required documents for 6 to 12 months L (visiting relatives) visa:
1. Passport with valid visa;
2. Registration from of temporary residence (from the police station recommended or a hotel receptionist) (Click here to see an example)
Foreigners must get this form within 24hrs after arrival in the place of residence. Re-register is required for each entrance or relocation.
3. Two pieces of 2-inch photos;
4. Marriage Certificate;
6.Household registry booklet of the Chinese citizen;
7. ID card of the Chinese citizen.
If the Chinese Citizen's is not from Shanghai, he/she should provide Shanghai residence permit and Shanghai Property Owner Certificate original and copy(if haven't Property Owner Certificate, have to get the working certificate from Shanghai company) .
